The reason for using TAM® is to guarantee that any project or programme, of any size or complexity, will be completed within budget and within the time allowed. The project can be global i.e. lift share prices 4x’s in 18 months, turn round a loss maker in 90 days, acquire-merge and resell in 9 months, launch a new product with positive cash flow in 8 months, or re-engineer the group in 6 months. The project can be specific i.e. build a factory, reduce costs in department x, or improve health and safety. If the management team is happy and comfortable with the potential risks of over-run, and at the same time wish to ignore “people risk management” issues, then forget TAM® But if there are any perceived risks associated with the investment then TAM® is a must. It can be taught, on the job, by watching a demonstration. The demonstration should be a real project, using real team members, targeting a real objective. In this way there is no lost time. The working party agenda takes less than a week which can be spread over a specified period of time. All costs, fees and expenses of the training will be paid for by the improved results obtained. TAM® produces a 35% improvement in productivity of all staff associated with the project immediately following the working party. This improvement feeds through to the earnings per share figure by the first interim and continues thru to subsequent interims. City credibility requires 3 interims of sustained and consistent EPS enhancement to effect a share price uplift in a declining market.
Team Action Management - (TAM®)The Team Action Management toolkit or methodology enhances company understanding and improves the overall company performance. It will revitalise any “continuous improvement programme” or other special (supply chain management, balanced scorecard, or total quality management) programmes the company might already have in place. It makes possible understanding of feelings, motivations and human nature. It combines top down and bottom up communication and creates respect for leadership.It defines the problem, takes responsibility, agrees the solution, implements the solution and tracks performance and teaches the team to work together all at the same time. We can teach the process using a the actual management team, working on a real issue, to get a real result while learning “on-the-job” .. in short the TAM skill can be acquired and paid for by the results achieved. We demonstrate, use, and teach this method, on-the-job, to achieve actual objectives to a specified timetable, and to demonstrate how future problems can be tackled by building a common point of view, and by getting agreement and commitment to making required changes.
